| Psyche Designs creates original web sites - not sites created from templates made somewhere else. Each site is constructed by closely following the vision of our client and is one of a kind. The graphics are custom creations that will belong solely to the client upon approved and paid completion of the design project.
How we work: We ask each client for details about the site they want -- what the site will be used for, how it will look, and what it should do. We will work with our client until they are satisfied with the work. We can't and won't guarantee a time frame on completion. If a client needs the project to be completed on a deadline, we'll do our best to meet it but can't and won't guarantee a delivery date. Again, we're doing a custom job, not a pre-fab site, so there's no way to predict when we'll have the exact result the client wants though we are very efficient.
All that being said, we can usually complete a site within a month, once we've begun, if the client is available to answer questions and approve drafts. There may be a wait before we can start a project for a client -- it depends on how many projects we've committed to and we'll work in a chronological order. Once we've started, the length of time needed to complete the project depends on the size and complexity of it. A simple 5-10 page informational site may be completed in 1-2 weeks. A larger, database-driven site may take 2 months or more. We also make clients aware that there are four times each year we are unavailable due to holiday and vacation schedules. One week each in June, July, November, and December.
What we need: We ask clients for great detail about the intent of their site, what they want for its appearance, and what functions they wish it to have. We'll create a layout, navigation system, custom graphics, and any scripts needed for functionality. We also ask our client for content. We don't write any copy or content for our clients. This must be sent to us and should be proofread. We will check for spelling errors.
Please note the following:
- The design quote is for designing the site only. This does not include domain registration, hosting, or maintenances/updates though we do offer all of those as additional services.
- We can use the design we create for your web site to create matching blogs for blogger, MySpace profiles, and banners. These are not, however, included in the design quote for the web site.
- We do not design or maintain sites in Microsoft Frontpage.
